TEACHING
My Teaching Philosophy: One at a Time

I have three decades of experience performing in NYC as the solo flutist at Radio City Music Hall, on Broadway (over 25 shows), with Symphony, Ballet and Opera orchestras, recording work and chamber music. My knowledge of both how to project in a major concert hall or work with microphone and headphones, have helped hundreds of flutists through the years.
My students are among the brightest and busiest flutists, educators and woodwind doublers in the industry. I also teach flutists from 1st grade through 12th at the Trinity School, and formerly at University of Pennsylvania at Kutztown, The Hewitt School, The Nightingale-Bamford School, the Professional Children’s School, and others.
I work tirelessly to create opportunities for my students, and to better understand their strengths and challenges. My teaching philosophy: One at a time. One student, each lesson addressing challenges, discovering solutions. There is not one singular lesson plan. Every student is an individual learner— I honor their path. We combine tradition with the now. Excellence with humor, discipline with patience.
